BBA Trade is pleased to announce another flawlessly executed international fine art logistics operation, handling the museum-grade export and air transit of contemporary artist Eline Martherus’s I Miss Not Seeing You (2026) directly from Istanbul to Amman, Jordan.

Acquired during the 21st edition of Contemporary Istanbul (September 2026) from the prominent UK exhibitor Gillian Jason Gallery, the artwork was purchased by an Amman-based interior design firm requiring rapid turnaround, specialized multi-layer conservation packing, and rigorous regulatory clearance without operational delays.
Operation Overview
Managing the transition of high-value contemporary art from a major international art fair directly into cross-border air freight demands swift technical execution and meticulous care. BBA Trade oversaw the entire chain of custody, coordinating origin collection, regulatory inspections, technical packing, export customs, and direct air cargo booking.
The project brought together key international partners:
- Consignor / Partner Gallery: Gillian Jason Gallery (London, UK)
- Client & Consignee: Interior Design Firm (Amman, Jordan)
- Executing Logistics Partner: BBA Trade (Istanbul, Türkiye)
- Air Freight Partner: Qualitair & Sea – International Logistics Services (IATA Member)
- Air Carrier: Turkish Airlines Cargo

Key Services Delivered
- Origin Collection & Rapid Transit: The painting was safely collected from its Istanbul address immediately following the exhibition, initiating time-sensitive export procedures without downtime.
- Accredited Museum Inspection & Export Clearance: Fine art exports from Türkiye require strict compliance with cultural heritage regulations. BBA Trade coordinated directly with accredited state museum experts to obtain the official Certificate of Inspection and clear all export permissions swiftly.
- Conservation-Grade Roll Packing Engineering: To optimize air transport efficiency while ensuring uncompromised preservation, the artwork was prepared in roll format using an engineered multi-barrier system:
- Primary Archival Layer: Acid-free barrier paper directly against the painted surface to prevent chemical transfer or adhesion.
- Environmental Shield: DuPont™ Tyvek® breathable protective wrap to block particulate infiltration while regulating moisture balance.
- Cushioning: Dense impact-absorbing bubble layer.
- Rigid Core Armor: Insertion into a heavy-duty, high-density protective cylinder to eliminate bending and crushing risks.
- External Weatherproofing: Encased in a custom-built, multi-layered fine art transit carrier constructed from water-repellent, heavy-duty 600D Oxford fabric with reinforced protective padding.
- Direct Air Freight Routing: In close partnership with long-standing IATA partner Qualitair & Sea, BBA Trade booked the consignment onto Turkish Airlines flight TK6264, securing direct routing to Amman to minimize transit touchpoints and eliminate transshipment risks.
- Comprehensive Risk Mitigation: BBA Trade arranged an all-risk marine transit insurance policy covering total loss, ensuring full financial security throughout the door-to-airport transit.
The Result
From local collection and museum certification to customs sign-off and final air cargo departure, BBA Trade maintained end-to-end operational control. The artwork was dispatched swiftly, safely, and cost-effectively, arriving in Amman in pristine condition and fully satisfying the demanding timelines of both Gillian Jason Gallery and the Jordanian design firm.
This project reinforces BBA Trade’s reputation as an agile, technically proficient logistics partner capable of navigating complex cultural heritage compliance and high-spec packing requirements for the international art market.
